MS Computer Science ยท University of Georgia

Harshith Kethavath

I'm an MS student in Computer Science at the University of Georgia, where I work with Prof. Weiming Hu at the Geoinformatics and AI Modeling Lab. My work sits at the intersection of computer vision and geography, with a focus on remote sensing and extreme weather event forecasting.

For my MS project, I worked with Prof. In Kee Kim on thermal throttling characterization in edge AI, studying how ambient temperature and humidity drive performance degradation across AI workloads on Jetson devices.

Before that, I spent time as a Cloud Engineer at HCLTech, working on AWS infrastructure for enterprise deployments for Amazon Lab126.

I completed my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at the IIT Bhubaneswar in 2023, advised by Prof. Dipankar De, where I explored fractional-order PID control for DC motor speed regulation, comparing it against traditional PID across multiple tuning methods with anti-windup compensation.
